A PostgreSQL Parameter Set is a named, reusable collection of postgresql.conf parameters. Attach it to a Cluster to apply a consistent tuning profile — for example a write-heavy OLTP or a high-memory profile — across many clusters without editing each one.
• Parameters — a string→string map of PostgreSQL settings, e.g. max_connections, shared_buffers, work_mem (spec.parameters)
• Reuse — one set can be referenced by many instances; updating the set re-applies to everything that references it
• Values are strings — quote numbers and sizes ("200", "2GB") as PostgreSQL expects textual values
• Restart is applied automatically, only where needed — there is no fixed list of which parameters require a restart (it varies by PostgreSQL version); the cluster checks each instance's actual pending-restart state after applying a change and restarts only the instances that need it, one at a time
• Reserved keys — shared_preload_libraries, wal_level, hot_standby, max_wal_senders, max_replication_slots, and any citus.* key are rejected at reconcile; they cannot be set via a Parameter Set
